too much left for too long

I am so pissed at my dad right now. I'm entering my first midterm season at college and I'm working on a year of recognised depression and almost a decade of unrecognised anxiety. Apparently, though, that's not enough pressure on me to do well. Instead, he decides to push the point that he's unhappy with my major. Basically, he told me that I should start working on a minor and do nothing but study so that I can go forward and get a masters so I can have a 'real career'.

Because teaching isn't real.


I've heard it my whole life, but that doesn't make it less painful to hear.
